Policy
Corporate & Social Responsibility
Our goal is to maintain a continuing commitment to behave ethically and to contribute to the economic development of the community. At the same time we strive to improve the quality of life of our workforce and the local community and society generally.
This year so far we are managing the firm responsibly in areas such as risk management, client confidentiality, conflicts of interest, health and safety and money laundering.
As ever and as always we also do charitable work in the local community including:
- Sponsoring the North Devon Hospice in connection with the event of the National English Sheepdog Trials to be held at Castle Hill Filleigh near South Molton over three days 21st, 22nd and 23rd August 2009.
- Members of staff and friends and family entered the Race for Life on 12th July 2009 to raise money for Cancer Research UK. A sum in excess of £500 was raised by the entrants and the day was enjoyed by all who attended.
- We are supporting other companies in the area raising funds for charity by attending their events, such as the Solicitors Croquet Challenge in Exeter in aid of Hospiscare. Two of our partners managed to reach the semi-finals but were beaten by a better team and the torrential rain!
- Staff are dressing ‘appropriately’ on Jeans for Genes Day on 2nd October 2009 to raise funds for research into genetic disorders in children. Call in and throw some pennies into our sewn up jeans in reception!
We also try to be as envirnomental friendly as possible through:
- Recycling of paper, plastics, cardboard and glass.
- Buying recycled products for use in our offices.
- Buying sustainably produced products where possible.
- Doing business with other eco-friendly companies such as Citrus Digital.
