During the lifetime of a business the owners wish to sell for numerous reasons. We deal with all aspects of business sales and purchases whether by way of asset deals or company share sales and purchases.

Sales and Purchase of a business

There are two principal methods of selling a business. The first is to sell the assets and possibly the liabilities which make up the business. The second is to transfer control of a company through the shareholders selling their shares in it.

The effects of both are significantly different. As a consequence, early legal advice is essential and should form part of the negotiation stage when a seller or buyer are considering a business sale or acquisition.
