We undertake both private and Legally Aided work in this area and we have specialist staff who are members of The Law Society Family Panel, The Law Society Children Panel and an Accredited Solicitor – Mediator.

We cover all aspects of family law work and these include:-

Co-habitation/living together and Pre-Nuptial Agreements – these can minimise argument and avoid dispute in the event of relationship breakdown. Such agreements can be very cost effective in avoiding disputes or Court proceedings altogether and we can discuss all the various options and draft a document which will reflect your needs. Recent Court decisions have underlined the increasing importance of Pre-Nuptial Agreements in particular as a way of avoiding future litigation.

Separation, divorce and civil partnership dissolutions – we can assist in the preparation of formal agreements or divorce/civil partnership Petitions. It is essential that such documents are carefully drafted from the outset to ensure correct content and procedure.

Assets and finance – we can advise on division of property, assets, pensions and payment of maintenance, as well as draft Orders dealing with these aspects in the event of agreement being reached, without the need for anyone having to go to Court. By far the majority of our cases are resolved in this way.
